Textile honoring goddess Hathor

Textile honoring goddess Hathor, a complete painted linen, an exceptional example of a well-known type, was created as an offering to the goddess Hathor at her shrine at Deir el-Bahri. Below Hathor´s head, is a small figure in black, who is identified in the nearby hieroglyphs as Mentuhotep II, a pharaoh from dynasty 11, who had long been honored with his own cult at Deir el-Bahri.
